As you all know Godsic has been hibernating for some time now due to some unforseen problems that we stumbled upon earlier this spring (the death of Rick's dad being a big part of it of course), so there hasn't really been much updates to tell you all about lately, but things are starting to look up and turn for us finally!
Me and Rick have started planning on continuing with the recordings again in the very near future. And we've also talked about giving you guys some samples as the pieces start to fall in place. Also we'll most likely do some livestreaming while we're recording, just like we did before, so keep your eyes and ears open for the times when this will take place! It will be announced both here and on our Twitter and Facebook.
We're fueled to the max to start working with this again, and we can't wait!
There's been loads of negative shit happening in the Godsic camp lately. First off, Rick's dad sadly passed away 2 weeks ago, so obviously Rick's not feeling too good right now. Also Chris, Thomas and Jari decided to part ways with Godsic a couple of days ago for various personal reasons. We have no grudges between us, and we wish them all the best in their future endevours.
This WILL NOT contest the future of Godsic though! Once Rick is back on his feet we will start recording the vocals for three songs to send out to labels. Obviously, us being just 2 members in the band at the moment sets us back financially, and makes the completion of the album impossible for the time being. So we've chosen to first seize a deal, so that we get some help with finishing this album. We won't put any haste into finding member replacements either. Our #1 prio right now is getting these three songs finished and sent to the labels asap.
Please take a few seconds to vote for Godsic to be Indie Spotlight's band of the month HERE!
Happy New Year!!!
One year has passed since we released "Scars Inside" and "Premeditation" here on the website! And what a year it's been! All of 2011 we've been busy writing songs, recording pre-productions, and then finally we began recording "As the Heavens Burn"! 2012 will be an awesome year for Godsic, no doubt! We'll do everything in our powers to record the rest of the instruments asap! Right now we're looking at a late spring release for the album, and we can't wait to let you enjoy it in it's entirety! After the release we hope to go out and tour lots, preferably all over the globe! We can't wait to get out on the road and see all of you amazing fans that we've gained through the year! \m/

111124 - Among the chosen few
Today we got an email from Sweden Rock Festival stating that we have been chosen to go through to the next stage of their competition to win a gig at next year's edition of the festival! Over 1000 bands entered the competition, and only 100 went through to the next stage, so this is awesome! In the coming days Sweden Rock Festival will post a voting page to their website at www.swedenrock.com where people vote for their favourite band out of the 100 to go through to the finals. 20 bands go through to the finals, which holds another voting, and the top 3 bands from that voting wins a gig at Sweden Rock Festival 2012. We're gonna need your support on this one, and we hope that all you fans out there can do us the huge favor and vote for us there once every day!
Cheers, and thanks once again for all your support and praise! We're absolutely blown away by all the positive feedback you all feed us with every single day! We could never in our wildest dreams have anticipated how positive reception our songs would receive! \m/
Today we have also updated our Soundcloud page! Check it out and follow us HERE!

111117 - New feature: Godsic Q&A!
We have decided to start a new feature on our official Youtube channel! Questions & Answers video sessions! If you are a fan of Godsic and have a question that has been burning inside you that you want us to answer, send your question to questions@godsic.net and we might just answer YOUR question in the next episode of "Godsic Q&A"! You can ask any question that comes to your mind that surrounds Godsic. You might wonder what Rick had for dinner last night, what Peter's favourite movie is, who Jari thinks should be the next president of the USA, what kind of underwear Thomas wears, or what drum sticks Chris uses... It's up to YOU! \m/
Also, Rickard got his own Twitter account today. Follow him at @RickGodsic! Peter also has his own account that you can follow at @PeterGodsic!
111116 - Merch store online & special offer!
Finally our merchandise store has opened! And we celebrate this by offering a 10% discount on all pre-orders of our black t-shirts with red logo print! The offer is limited and is valid through December 10th 2011. So hurry up and order this awesome tee before it's too late! \m/
You find the store HERE, or by clicking "Store" in the top menu!
111115 - Godsic at Soundcloud
We just thought we'd inform you all that Godsic is also available to listen to at Soundcloud! Great if you're out and about on your phone and want to listen to us on the go! \m/
We are about to order Godsic logo t-shirtsfor selling here on the website! Over 50 fans have voted that they are interested in buying a t-shirt. Now we're wondering what t-shirt size you wear, so we have a little clue of what amount of each size to order in the first batch.See the t-shirt designHERE! The t-shirts will cost about €16,50 in Europe, $23 in the U.S, 150SEK in Sweden (excluding postage and packaging)
We're also looking into the possibility of printing girlie shirts! We'll add these size options in the poll when we know if we can make them. So girls who want girlie shirts, please wait with your "votes"! Please note that girlie shirts cost more to make than regular t-shirts, so they will have a different price. Please also note that you should ONLY "vote" in this poll if you will buy a t-shirt!
111109 - Merchandise interest poll
We're currently checking the interest from our fans of buying Godsic merchandise. Vote "Yes" in the poll to the right if you would be interested in buying a Godsic t-shirt! As it's a big initial investment for us to start printing merchandise we want to know beforehand if people would actually buy it if we decide to print some. This is a way for us to determine both if there is interest, and also to get an estimate of what amount to print.
Thanks for your input! \m/
111107 - Welcome Russia & Peter's Twitter up!

111031 - Rick's first interview posted!
The South African music blog "Air Guitar" has posted an interview with Rickard! Check it out HERE!
111024 - Drum recording - Day 2
Day two of drum recording went great also, and now the day after the weekend all I can say is that the drums on this album will be absolutely insane! Chris did a hell of a good job in the studio! Next step is to go through the already recorded guitars and see if there are any changes to be made to better fit the drums in certain parts of the songs.. Nothing big, but ya know... We want it all to be 200% perfect once this killer album is released! After that we'll record the bass and the vocals! We're looking into the matter of booking studio time for these recordings right now. The album is getting closer and closer to completion, and we're all very stoked about this whole thing! It will blow you to pieces once you hear it, and that's a guarrantee!!! \m/
We would also like to thank all the people who watched our live video broadcast this weekend! The broadcast was streaming live for 7 hours all in all, and we hope you enjoyed getting inside the studio with us and seeing how the drums came to life with sweat, frustration, anger, humor, fluffy toy animals and laughter. The stream can be watched HERE! Unfortunately the sound and image quality in "Day 1" is pretty bad, but it got a whole lot better in "Day 2", which also finished off with a listening party in the studio room reviewing all the recordings, so that's where you can get a little sneak peak into what the album will sound like.
// Peter
111022 - Drum recording - Day 1
The first day of drum recording is now over, and all I have to say is that Chris is doing a killer job behind the drums so far! This day has been spiced with both frustration, anger and happiness from the recording room, as all you viewers who tuned in to the live video broadcast today experienced. I believe Chris nailed 4 out of the 11 songs (that contain drums) today! The rest of the songs have some polishing to go through tomorrow, as we're getting closer and closer to finalizing the drums for "As the Heavens Burn"! \m/
The sound and picture quality of the stream today was low due to the lack of a real mic for the computer, but I have that sorted 'til tomorrow so we can move the camera closer to Chris and also get better sound through a real studio mic. See you all tomorrow people! \m/ (>.<) \m/
// Peter
111022 - Drum recording video stream
Watch the live video stream from the drum recording right HERE, and why not join the chat and talk to Peter and Rick? \m/ (Chris obviously has a hard time chatting and drumming at the same time) ;)
111008 - Listen to the HRRL Radio Interview

As we're often asked the same questions by different people, we decided to put up a FAQ with the most common questions. You can read it here!
110921 - Godsic goes Bandit!
Last night Sweden's biggest rock & metal radio station Bandit premiered "Stillborn Life" in Swedish airwaves!
If you live in Sweden and listen to Bandit (and like our music), we suggest you go to their website and request them to play "Godsic - Stillborn Life". This helps us get more airtime on the radio station, and of course also gets us out there to more of the metalheads of Sweden, as this is a very popular radio station over here. Bandit is also streamable right here! And of course, you are welcome to send them requests even if you live outside of Sweden.
Also, we have put up a page where you, the fans that want to support us that li'l extra can now buy the 3 songs that we've released so far for a very cheap and affordable price. All the money goes to financing parts of the album recording, and all the money goes directly to Godsic (no label taking like 95% of the income). The whole EP (3 songs) is sold at a minimum price of $2. We set a minimum, so that you who want to give a bigger support can do so. It's up to you how much you think it's worth. Know that we are very thankful for your support, regardless if you just listen to the songs here on the site and dig them, or if you choose to buy them! All we want is to get our music out there to all you people who love, support, and live for metal, just like us!
Til next time, stay metal and crank it up! \m/
110918 - Drum recording dates set!
We have now managed to book time at Debka Studios in Stockholm for recording the drums on "As the Heavens Burn"! The drums will be recorded on October 22nd-23rd! Expect videos of Chris killing the drums (and a heap of drum sticks I'm sure) after the recording is done.
Be sure to subscribe to our official Youtube channel and befriend us there, so you don't miss a thing! \m/
110914 - Someone's had the urge to chart!
Today Godsic managed to claim 1st place on the Signmeto weekly metal chart at Roadrunner Records for the second time! We were also featured on the front page of their site. Also, Roadrunner Records had wrote a li'l something about us in their weekly blog post "Who charted?"!
Here's what they had to say about Godsic: "The Metal chart this week is topped by Sweden's Godsic. They make a mighty racket that combines industrial, deathcore (plenty of chugging riffs and breakdowns), and clean vocals on the choruses. "Stillborn Life," "Scars Inside" and "Premeditation" are all good songs; check 'em out."
Swedish Close-Up Magazine wrote this review of Godsic in their latest issue (#134): "...Another actor in the harder school, and with experienced authors (class acts like Carnal Forge and Construcdead are on the merit list) is Godsic, also based in Stockholm. The fundament consists of led heavy metal, with a good eye for both rough-fibered outbreaks and choruses that sit like a well designed concrete cap already from the first listen. The three songs, with the furious excellent "Scars Inside" in the lead, don't for even a brief moment drop in momentum and authority. This naturally increases the expectations for the debut album "As the Heavens Burn" which, if everything goes as planned will be released later this year. (Grade 7/10)"
The pre-production versions of the Godsic songs "Scars Inside" and "Premeditation" was reviewed in the latest issue of the Swedish metal magazineClose-Up Magazine (issue #134)! The score was 7/10!
Also, Godsic is featured on today's news NoCleanSinging.com! Very positive words there!
NoCleanSinging wrote: "Godsic is another band we’ve written about before (right here). They’re a relatively new band from Sweden composed of former members of Construcdead and current members of Carnal Forge. They’ve created a debut album called As the Heavens Burn, and the last time we checked with them, they’d released two songs for streaming — “Scars Inside” and “Premeditation”. Both were fucking good pancake.
Now they’ve discharged a third song from the album, a pre-release version of a tune called “Stillborn Life”. Based on the title, I concluded this wouldn’t be a party song. But I’ll tell you what, it’s a motherfuckin groove machine that jammed itself inside my head and wouldn’t let go. I even liked the clean vocalizing in the chorus, which struck connections with latter-day Soilwork. This thing is drenched in catchy."
We're still getting awesome reviews atSignmeto Roadrunner Records! Today we hit number 1 on the daily metal chart for the 4th time! Second guitar player revealed!
We can now announce that Jari Kuusisto (ex Carnal Forge) has joined Godsic filling the spot as second guitar player!
First interview
Swedish "Nordic Rage Webzine" has done an interview with Peter (in Swedish).
We have now added two of the three songs to the jukebox on the right. Unfortunately Peter got sick to his throat after two days of recording (he hadn't sung since the summer), so we had to take a break from the recordings for the rest of the week, and we are sorry to say that we didn't meet the deadline on the third song.
But still, you can now listen to two kickass songs from the upcoming debut album, "As the Heavens Burn", right here on the site!
Both songs were mixed and mastered by Petri Kuusisto (Carnal Forge, Die Divine), and the second song also features a guest appearance by Petri on solo guitar!
We hope you enjoy them, and feel free to share your feedback with us in the guestbook (found on the top right of the site)! Also, don't forget to register on the site for some extra goodies coming up in the "members only" section soon!
Have a great New Year's Eve, and make the booze count! \m/
| || ||| || | Godsic
New year, new band, new songs!!!
Merry X-mas and Happy New Year everyone!
As you've probably already noticed by now a new band called Godsic has been founded by some of the prior members of Construcdead, and a couple of the members still in Carnal Forge.
Peter Tuthill (Vocals), Rickard Dahlberg (Guitars), Chris Barkensjö (Drums) decided to embark on new adventures together in this constellation, and also called in Thomas Wallander (ex Construcdead) to play the bass. In the last month or so we've been busy recording songs for our upcoming debut album "As the Heavens Burn", due out in late spring 2011!
As a sneak peek of what is to come we've decided to share rough mixes of 3 songs from the album right here on our website on New Years Eve! You'll find them in the jukebox on the right side of the site!
We hope you all enjoy the songs as much as we do, and we are looking forward to putting "As the Heavens Burn" out there for all of you. We can't wait to get out on the road with this new killer album!
PS. Register here on the site today to be the first to get the latest news via email! Registered people get access to a members only part of the site, where you, the fans get some extra goodies that others can't access!
